Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance (SMFI, Seoul) has launched a new AI-enabled safe driving initiative using technology from Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT), the U.S.-based telematics provider. The insurer selected CMT following a global evaluation by Samsung Financial C-Lab Outside, citing its strengths in driving risk analytics, crash detection, and mobility data processing.
The program introduces smartphone-based technology that detects distracted driving, encourages safer driving habits, and enables real-time crash response and roadside assistance.
