Mercury Insurance’s rating from Moody’s is A3, meaning “good,” but in the lowest rung of the medium-grade. This grade is the lowest rating within the “A” category. Previously, Moody’s rated the insurer as having an “A2” ranking, which was the middle of the “A” category.
